COMMERCIAL COFFEE GRINDERS

Professional Compak coffee grinders for espresso service, from lower-volume and decaf use through to grinders designed for heavier hospitality demand.

A commercial coffee grinder has a direct influence on the espresso you serve. Grind consistency, dose control and the ability to keep up during busy periods all matter, so the grinder should be matched to the workload rather than chosen as an afterthought once the espresso machine has already been installed.

We supply a range of Compak commercial coffee grinders including the i3 Pro, i6 Pro, i8 Pro and E8. The progression through the range gives businesses options for different levels of demand without assuming that every coffee bar needs the largest grinder available.

From Lower Volume to Busy Espresso Service

The Compak i3 Pro uses 58mm burrs and is positioned for lower-volume professional use. Its compact format can also make it useful as a dedicated second grinder, for example where a business wants to keep decaffeinated coffee separate from its main espresso.

The i6 Pro moves to 64mm hardened-steel burrs and is intended for low-to-medium professional demand, while the i8 Pro uses 83mm hardened-steel burrs and a more powerful motor for heavier workloads.

All three provide on-demand grinding with selectable single, double and continuous-dose operation, allowing coffee to be ground as it is needed rather than relying on a chamber of pre-ground coffee.

Compak E8 — More Control and Service Features

The E8 also uses 83mm flat burrs but adds a different control interface and additional operational features. Its specification includes a 2.8-inch touchscreen, dose counters and a burr-wear/change alarm.

Compak’s design also provides direct access to the grinding chamber, intended to make cleaning or burr changes possible without losing the existing grind adjustment. Those features may be valuable in a busy professional setup where the grinder is in regular use and maintenance needs to be straightforward.

For further technical information, Compak’s professional grinder range provides manufacturer specifications for its current equipment.

Match the Grinder to the Espresso Machine

Bigger burrs and a more powerful motor are not automatically necessary for every site. The useful questions are how much coffee will be ground, how concentrated the busy periods are, and whether the grinder will be the main espresso grinder or a secondary machine for another coffee.

If you are also choosing an espresso machine, it makes sense to specify the two together. The Coffee Company supplies both Rancilio commercial espresso machines and Crem commercial espresso machines, allowing the complete coffee station to be considered as one setup.
